An organization’s effectiveness partly depends \udon the success of its projects. With this in mind, many \udefforts have been spent in recent decades to enhance the \udproject management culture, but results are still highly \udunsatisfactory. Project Management Maturity Models \ud(PMMMs) are seen by both the academic and the \udindustrial communities as a solid instrument to achieve \udthis goal. The point at issue is that surveys and researches \udshow PMMMs must be better linked to business and \udfinancial performance. The aim of this paper is to explore \udthe scope for improvement to evolve PMMMs as \udbusiness-oriented frameworks.
